WHY THE NAME
It is inherited from a vintage shop I owned for 4 years and found myself fixated on because of all the good old memories associated with it. Having geographically moved my base from Hong Kong to Manchester has also got me unexpectedly envisaging my future self questioning who I am and where to call home. So I guess at this very moment of starting a newsletter, Where I Was From is the name to be.
OUR SPACE
This is a hygienic process and experimental ground for a person who hits quarter-life crisis. What you can expect here is a weekly dispatch from my stream of consciousness, around the topics of

WHO ARE YOU
Chris Maido, with Maido being an imaginative last name. I have always loved names starting with the initial ‘M’ but I am not able to change mine for some reasons so voila. I am picky, pay mid-high attention to details and always love a good find. People with distinctive style, especially mixed with prints and vintage, often caught my attention over ones who follow trends and look absolutely amazing. Black is my favourite colour. Animal prints and whimsical patterns are magnetic elements I adhere to. I am a dog person but is currently living with three cats… the list could go on.
