I can't believe you can keep this piece of blazer for ten years, without any feeling of being outdated, and also fit to wear. A good quality, classic piece of clothing can stand the test of time.
Oh, what a fun article, Chris! I love your personal challenge to yourself to wear these languishing items. I'm not a huge fan of gingham, but I adore it mixed with the balloon pants - what a fabulous outfit. I also like the collar peeking out, and I highly approve of your Adidas jacket!
Wow, the white/cream outfit is FANTASTIC! Forget the silly wedding comments, it's stunning! A suit (or close enough matching) + a graphic tee is one of my own person go-tos for an easy outfit.
Good to see you back! How do you feel about these pieces now that you've styled them? Will they earn a reprieve?
Thanks Sheila, I'm glad you enjoyed reading it! For the gingham blazer and souvenir t-shirt, I'm definitely keeping them now - in fact I'm trying to style some more items these few days and it feels beyond great to reconnect with my past self! (One of them is again from Adidas haha)
I love this! I tried to "reconnect" with a pair of trousers a couple months ago but sadly, they were indeed too small to be practical. I did hold on an older shirt that I think I will be ready to wear again when the weather warms up...it is very fitted compared to how I like to wear my clothes now, but I am intrigued by the idea of pairing it with a pair of big trousers or a balloon skirt!
Thanks Lin. Glad you enjoyed reading this! Now that I've started to reconnect with my older pieces, it really feels like shopping my own closet. Can't wait to see your take on your fitted shirt with an oversized bottom!

Totally agree with you on this, even when you’re wearing fast fashion but you love and wear it all the time it justifies itself.
