Ahh, I rarely wear skirts but I definitely want to try styling mine more corporate/office wear after reading this! I also love when you find a vintage piece that resonates seven when you’re young and it feels hard to wear and it survives until you “grow” into it style-wise. sometimes you just KNOW you love it!!
"Sometimes you just KNOW you love it" - YES!! I think vintage pieces are special being often sourced out of context (unlike how we shop clothes through social media/ads/brand influence) and they just hit us on our own aesthetics!
So true - even when I can’t identify what it is that’s pulling me towards something, at least it’s an internal pull instead of just an image I’ve seen over and over against my will!
All the best for your new job, and I love your outfits, they convey professionalism but feel wholly creative and original to your style, and they're also not too complicated and practical.
Thank you Sasha. Glad to be on board again 🖤 That skirt almost went to the charity during my last clean out but hopefully it stayed and getting some attention now!
Thank you Martha! The trickiest part of adding creativity on corporate dressing is you have to find "that" balance in between without tilting towards either side. Try, try, try!
Love your style, Chris!💕 I’ve undergone a long slow change in my personal and office style (especially with the pandemic in there), and am still figuring out what works for the new me at work, so I’m in for your exploration.
Thank you Sheila! I share similar thoughts with you here - I do find most of us tend more towards the laid back version of dressing after the pandemic, we just... tried less hard.

Thank you Lin, your words 🖤 Practicality is the major consideration in most of my work outfits, glad that you spotted this!
happy to see you are back! congrats on your new job and as usual, love the outfits! the geometry of the skirt from the first look is unreal

Good luck in the new job Chris! I hope it’s going well. I love the creativity on corporate dressing, something which I think we all struggle with!

I actually kept dressing up during the pandemic (I had to be in my office), but my style is evolving as I get older .💕
